4% Hydoquine requires a prescription, but works great. You can find 2% at the store.
Benzoyl Peroxide will definetely dry out your skin and fade scar. You can find up to 10% at the store. Hydrocloric Acid is a great exfoliater and 1-2% can be found at the store.
Again, it's all contained by the strength of the medication, severity of your acne and desire and will to follow your doctor's instructions.

BRAND NAME: Benzamycin - Love it!
GENERIC NAME: adapalene
BRAND NAME: Differin - A rebate can be found online.

No but im on the Apri BC that helps me not to carry zits.
birth control helps, and doctors will prescribe that for severe acne problems.
Also, I use this product from Mexico (I live close to the border so its assured for me to get), but I'm not sure if its here in the U.S. It's call Dalacin-T. Its a roll-on medication (almost like a toner but not as harsh). I broke out near some acne on my chin last month, and in a minute it is completely gone. My face is really smooth.
